By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Sumreel is a browser extension that generates AI-powered summaries of YouTube videos based on their publicly available captions/transcripts. The Service includes:
Sumreel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, Notion, or Obsidian. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Notion is a trademark of Notion Labs, Inc. Obsidian is a trademark of Dynalist Inc.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of this section, with or without notice.
Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. AI output may contain errors, hallucinations, or misrepresent the video author's views. Always verify important information against the original video before relying on it. We are not responsible for any decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated summaries.
The Service depends on third parties, including YouTube (video pages and captions), AI providers (transcript processing), payment providers, and optional integrations (Notion, Obsidian). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third parties. Changes to third-party services (such as YouTube's caption availability) may affect the functionality of the Service.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Sumreel and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that captions will be available for all videos. Some videos do not provide captions; the Service cannot summarize them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sumreel and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 if no payment was made. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sumreel and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for suspected violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or non-payment. You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the extension. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8–14) will survive.
We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. For material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where practical, provide notice within the extension or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service; you may request a refund under Section 7 if within the refund window.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution of any dispute by contacting help@sumreel.app before initiating formal proceedings. Nothing in this section affects mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
